This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Facilities Engineer to manage a range of technical services in Dublin City Center. The candidate will report into the Engineering Manager and ultimately the Technical Services Director.

This position will gain you exposure to many different industries so the variety will not disappoint. Due to the nature of the role the suitable candidate will have experience in facilities and hold a degree in an engineering discipline.

Facilities Engineer Skills:

 

  • Must have level 7 or level 8 Engineering Degree.
  • Full driving licence.
  • Experience in applying mechanical/electrical theory to analyse, diagnose and repair faults to machine tools and plant equipment.
  • Strong working knowledge of mechanical /electrical schematic diagrams.
  • Being a strong team player to achieve projects/departmental goals.
  • Fault-finding ability is key for this role, and you will also be capable of overseeing the complex installs.

As a Facilities Engineer:

 

  • Represent the company in a professional manner and lead certain key technical client contracts. Offer value-add to client where possible including alternative solutions to problems.
  • Manage scheduled and reactive maintenance as required. Ensuring all maintenance is compliant with the relevant legislation and is audit ready. Comply with schedules ensuring all works are closed out correctly and on time.
  • Ensure that all Risk Assessment Method Statements (RAMS), Permit to Works (PTW) and service dockets are completed and filed.
  • Ensuring all valid contractor’s invoices are received and approved for payment. Reviewing and managing client invoices ensuring they are issued correctly and in a timely manner.
  • Budget management ensuring that spending is as per technical budget and seek the appropriate approval for additional spending. Ensure that self-perform works are priced and managed correctly.
  • Ensure all legal requirements are met across all sites and escalate any issues or concerns in a timely manner.
  • To work alongside the wider team such as Facilities Managers, Technicians, Facilities Schedulers, Health & Safety, and support service staff. Acting as a primary point of contact for onsite staff within the assigned portfolio. Teamwork is critical to ensure the delivery of services to the client. Be flexible, contactable, and professional at all times.
  • Participate in clients internal and external audits and risk assessments.
  • Provide clear, accurate, effective reports to clients on schedule.
  • Provide assistance with other projects and other items as assigned from time to time.

The Package:

An excellent package will be put in place for the successful candidate. With a salary in the region of €65000.
