The Developer

One of the busiest and most respected Developer's in Ireland presently have a need for an experienced Health and Safety Manager / HSE Manager. Current projects include high rise apartments in north and south Dublin as well as prestigious housing developments in west Dublin and Kildare. The role will involve overseeing the construction of 2-3 sites as well as managing the health and safety staff across these sites.


Health and Safety Manager Skills:

The Health and Safety role would suit an experienced, self-reliant individual with 5+ years residential/ mixed use construction experience:

  • You will have a third level degree qualification in Health and Safety
  • You will have 5+ years’ experience in a similar role
  • You will have experience working on large Residential / mixed use developments
  • Housing / apartment experience is preferable
  • You have a strong and proven ability to influence change and be a champion of best practice
  • You must have excellent communication skills and attention to detail
  • You will have good working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Excel, PowerPoint)
  • You must possess a full clean driving licence


As Health and Safety Manager you will:

Report to and work closely with the Group Health and Safety Manager and Contracts Manager. You will be responsible for large construction sites, ensuring the implementation of safety statements, legislation and company policy across the site and that all relevant safety documents are completed and filed correctly.


Key responsibilities:

  • Deliver high levels of HSE performance
  • Engage with the operational team to commend HSE working methods or gain improvement
  • You will liaise with the Project Management Team to ensure Health and Safety documentation is up to date on site
  • Coach and promote HSE to on-site teams
  • You'll drive a safety culture by being a champion of best practice; conducting training for new and existing employees on the importance of health and safety on the job; and by suggesting improvements to existing methods of work.


The Package:

An attractive package of €70,000 – €75,000 + 10% bonus, pension and healthcare will be put in place for the successful candidate and the opportunity to work with one of the most exciting companies in Ireland.
