Main Contractor

You are an experienced Project Manager with a strong Civil's background. You are keen to work on an exciting project in the Tipperary area with one of the most respected and successful Main Contractor's in Ireland.

This Tier one Civils Main Contractor currently have a need for a strong Civils Project Manager to oversee a €multi-million civils package for a large Water project in Tipperary. A high end salary with vehicle and package will be offered to you.

As Project Manager:

Reporting to and working closely with the Contracts Manager, you will have the ultimate responsibility for the successful delivery of the project to be completed on time, within budget, finished to the highest standard and implemented within the required Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental parameters.

Key Duties:

• You must be able to function autonomously and jointly with the Contracts Manager. You must routinely make management decisions pertaining to project issues with minimal supervision throughout the life of the project.
• You must be technically competent with the ability to set and track project milestones and deliverables.
• You will instruct, coach and direct the project staff with respect to construction, contractual, and regulatory requirements with responsibility for assigned work.
• You will be responsible for the delivery of the job on time, within specification and on budget.
• You will ensure all personnel on site conduct their duties to the highest standards.
• You will manage day to day operational duties.
• You will demonstrate continuous efforts to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service.

Project Manager Skills:

• You will have 7+ years construction management experience.
• An Engineering / Construction Management qualification
• Strong Civil's / water background
• Thorough knowledge of computer and database applications such as Windows, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Microsoft Project/PowerProject etc.
• Thorough understanding of the construction industry and a broad understanding of regulatory requirements.

The Package

The salary is negotiable but expected to be approx. €85,000 – €90,000 + vehicle, pension and healthcare, depending on experience and the opportunity to work on an exciting large scale project with a leading main contractor in the Tipperary region.
