A permanent opportunity, working directly with one of Irelands leading main contractors on a €280 Million Infrastructure project, based in Co Cork.

Working alongside the design and build Main Contractor, who have tasked us with all recruitment for the project, we have an opportunity for a Senior Site Engineer / Site Agent, with a strong groundworks / civil’s background, preferably having worked on a number of Roads / Highways projects.

The project will consist of a 22km road upgrade, Type 2 dual carriageway, a number of both grade separated and at-grade interchanges and a large number of bridges.

What you’ll need to have:

The successful candidate will have a degree in civil engineering / construction management with 7+ years experience working on heavy civil projects, proficient and confident in ordering materials, quality control, health & safety, management of sub-contractors, management of site engineers and planning works, holding key roads / highways experience.

Ideally the successful candidate will have followed the career route of Junior Engineer, though to Senior Engineer, having built strong technical capabilities, enabling them to train and develop junior and site engineers in areas such as setting out, taking responsibility for a section of the project.

Experience of Managing and controlling large-scale earthworks is essential for this role with hands on experience overseeing and managing a large team.

Salary expectations:

The base salary for the position will be €60,000 – €70,000 + Package, (Vehicle + Fuel card), which will be fully negotiable depending on relevant Roads / Highways experience.
