Mechanical Site Supervisor Skills:

 
  • Experience in water/wastewater treatment plant installations.
  • Proficiency in installing Stainless Steel, Ductile Iron, and PVC pipework across various sizes.
  • Experience in installing a range of equipment including pumps, valves, blowers, augers, penstocks, platforms, access equipment, etc.
  • Particularly, experience in installing, repairing, and maintaining Chemical Systems, including bulk storage tanks, kiosks, chemical dosing pumps, pipelines, and associated instrumentation.
  • Familiarity with commissioning various equipment such as centrifugal pumps, submersible pumps, dosing pumps, motors, gearboxes, etc.
  • Knowledge of instrumentation commonly used in the water sector, such as level, flow, pressure, pH, chlorine, turbidity, etc.
  • Strong technical aptitude with attention to detail in interpreting drawings, schematics, P&IDs, etc.
  • Willingness to travel within Ireland as required.
  • Possession of a full clean driver’s license.

As a Mechanical Site Supervisor:

 
  • Supervising directly employed Fitter Crew as well as subcontractor teams.
  • Organising all site logistics, including material take-offs, work planning, resource allocation, and compliance with Health & Safety regulations.
  • Conducting training sessions for client operators post-commissioning to ensure smooth plant operation.
  • Liaising with Project Managers, Engineers, Client Resident Engineering Team, and Plant Operators.
  • Collaborating as part of a Mechanical Team for both new installations and maintenance/repairs.
  • Preparing all necessary site paperwork, including Permits to Work and Safe Plan of Action.
  • Ensuring all installations are carried out to high standards of professionalism and safety.
  • Adhering to both company’s and the client’s safety standards rigorously.
  • Maintaining communication with clients during installations to ensure safety and quality compliance.
