You will play a crucial role in supporting the requirements of the Quality Management Systems and Client Specification Requirements. Reporting to the Quality Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the implementation of the Project Quality Management System, promoting a “Right First Time” approach, and striving for a defect-free delivery. This role involves various tasks related to quality management, process coordination, inspection, documentation, and problem-solving.

Quality Engineer Skills:

  • A degree in Quality Engineering or Mechanical Engineering is desirable.
  • Strong understanding of welding technology and a keen interest in the technical aspects of engineering codes and standards.
  • Desirable certifications: CSWIP Welding Inspection qualification, NDT PCN/SNT Qualification.
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001:2008 quality management system.

As a Quality Engineer:

 

  • Develop and implement effective quality control processes and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Perform product or service quality inspections and audits to identify defects, non-conformities, and areas for improvement.
  • Conduct root cause analysis investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions to address quality issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain quality metrics, key performance indicators (KPIs), and quality assurance documentation.
  • Participate in the design and development of new products or services, ensuring quality considerations are incorporated from the early stages.
  • Support the supplier qualification process by assessing supplier quality systems and conducting audits, as necessary.
  • Provide guidance and training to employees on quality control processes, standards, and best practices.
  • Monitor and evaluate customer feedback, complaints, and returns, and lead initiatives to address customer concerns and improve overall product or service quality.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, regulations, and best practices in quality management systems.
  • Drive continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to streamline processes, reduce defects, and enhance overall quality performance.
