In this role, reporting directly to the Estimating Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in our continued growth. Drawing from your experience in Mechanical or HVAC fields, your main task will be accurately estimating project costs. Working closely with Project Managers, Engineers, and stakeholders, you’ll analyse project specifications, develop detailed cost estimates, and contribute to successful project bids.

Senior Estimator:

• Hold a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Demonstrate proficiency in English with exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
• Possess 3 to 5 years of experience as an Estimator in either the Mechanical or HVAC sectors.
• Exhibit the capacity to grasp mechanical specifications.
• Display conscientiousness and commercial acumen.
• Show outstanding attention to detail coupled with multitasking abilities.
• Have advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly in Microsoft Excel.
• Demonstrate expertise in tendering for mechanical and/or HVAC project packages.
• Showcase excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Embody accountability and teamwork, while also being capable of working independently.

As a Senior Estimator:

• Examination of project specifications, drawings, and related documents to comprehend scope and requirements thoroughly.
• Collaboration with Project Managers and Engineers to gain deep insights into project goals and objectives.
• Preparation of precise and detailed cost estimates for Mechanical and HVAC projects.
• Utilisation of estimation software and tools to ensure accuracy in cost calculations.
• Consideration of various factors like materials, labour, equipment, subcontractor costs, and overheads during estimation.
• Close collaboration with the QS/Estimating team to craft comprehensive and competitive bid proposals.
• Effective presentation and justification of cost estimates to both internal stakeholders and clients.
• Evaluation of potential vendors and subcontractors for their cost competitiveness and reliability.
• Efficient negotiation of pricing and terms with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Keeping abreast of industry trends, market conditions, and emerging technologies affecting Mechanical and HVAC systems.
• Continuous refinement and enhancement of estimating processes based on feedback and insights from past projects.
• Collaborative work with cross-functional teams, including Project Managers, Engineers, and Procurement, to ensure seamless project execution.
• Prompt and effective communication with clients and subcontractors to address queries and clarify project details.

The Package:

The salary is dependent on experience 70K to €90K and the successful candidate will be rewarded favourably with a package to include Bonus, pension support, wellbeing porgrammes and professional development opportunities
