Having just signed the contract for a €20 Million Design & Build civil’s package in Co Monaghan, one of Ireland’s primary main civil contractors have a permanent opportunity for a Setting Out Engineer/surveyor, with strong structures or earthworks, drainage, and roadworks experience to join their team on this project in Co Monaghan.
 

Offering a starting salary of €45,000 – €55,000, company vehicle, Pension & health care.

For this project we are looking for a Setting Out Engineer / Surveyor with 2-5 years engineering experience, with specific GPS & Robotic Total Station experience.

You will be responsible for:

• Setting out structure’s, earthworks, drainage, roadworks, and services with surveying equipment (GPS & Robotic Total Stations)
• Assist with quality control to ensure the standards are met in accordance to the design specifications
• Assist in producing Permits to Dig (CAT Scanning management)
• Ensuring the highest health, safety and environmental standards are met on site adhering to the client's and business's requirement
• Liaise with the site team to approve materials ensuring they meet specification
• Keep accurate records of progress reports, site diaries and resource allocations
• Produce as-built drawings in AutoCAD

Requirements:

• You will have a relevant degree, BSc, BEng or MEng degree in Civil Engineering
• You will have between 2 and 5 years’ hands on Setting Out experience on a range of Civil Engineering projects, with an emphasis on GPS & Robotic Total Stations
• You will be Computer literate and up to date in Engineering Packages / Software / AutoCad.
• You will have excellent interpersonal skills, strong English written and oral communication skills & the ability to work as part of a team
