We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Building Services Engineer/Coordinator to join one of Irelands Top Tier Main contractors on their project in Cork. As a Building Services Engineer/Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of building services, working on a wide range of modern plant, equipment, and systems controlled by Building Management Systems.

You will ensure the successful design, installation, and commissioning of complex mechanical and electrical (M&E) packages. Previous experience in industrial, pharmaceutical, and main contractor projects is highly desirable.

Building Services Engineer/Coordinator Skills:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in building services engineering.
• Qualification in Building Services/Engineering or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience in undertaking all aspects of building services, including design, installation, and commissioning.
• Proven track record of successfully managing and coordinating M&E packages.
• Previous project experience in the industrial and pharmaceutical sectors is highly preferable.
• Experience working with main contractors and familiarity with their project requirements.
• In-depth knowledge of modern plant, equipment, and systems controlled by BMS.
• Strong understanding of relevant regulations, codes, and standards in the building services industry.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to provide innovative solutions.
• Effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate and build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
• Proficiency in relevant software and tools used in building services engineering

As a Building Services Engineer/Coordinator

• Manage and coordinate all aspects of building services related to M&E packages.
• Undertake design reviews, technical inspections, and quality control of M&E installations.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure compliance with specifications, regulations, and industry standards.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance in the design and installation of building services systems.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure adherence to project schedules and budgets.
• Collaborate with external stakeholders, including contractors, suppliers, and clients, to ensure smooth project execution.
• Resolve technical issues and provide innovative solutions to improve system performance and efficiency.
• Perform risk assessments and develop appropriate mitigation strategies.
• Stay updated with industry trends, regulations, and technological advancements in building services engineering.
• Provide training and support to junior team members as required.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and procedures within the organization.

The Package:
