I’m looking for an experienced Associate Mechanical Engineer to join the management team and play a key role in delivering major projects across the EMEA region. This role suits a self-starter with strong problem-solving skills, technical expertise, and the ability to make independent judgments in a fast-paced environment.
You’ll be working at the forefront of mechanical engineering design, with responsibility for both technical and financial considerations, while ensuring design processes and engineering standards are upheld at the highest level.

Associate Mechanical Engineer Skills:
- Based in Ireland, hybrid role with Dublin office attendance as required
- Honours Degree (Chartered an advantage but not essential)
- 10+ years’ experience in mechanical engineering — with a background in data centres, industrial, high-tech, or commercial projects
- 3+ years’ experience managing people, including multidisciplinary teams
- 3+ years’ project management experience across both mechanical and electrical projects
- Excellent communication, presentation, and organisational skills
- Ability to engage effectively with staff at all levels and external stakeholders
- Strong financial awareness and ability to manage costs effectively
- Interest in emerging technologies and driving innovation within project delivery
As an Associate Mechanical Engineer:
- Reviewing technical designs to ensure scope and functionality are fully understood
- Leading a high-performing team, ensuring QA/QC standards are consistently met
- Monitoring costs and implementing innovative solutions to improve efficiency
- Managing resources across projects, including outsourcing where required
- Interpreting contracts and working within agreed terms and conditions
- Building and maintaining strong client, supplier, and partner relationships
- Supporting the procurement of new business opportunities alongside senior management
- Championing best practice in design standards, QA procedures, and engineering techniques
- Managing the delivery of multiple large-scale projects simultaneously
- Conducting team development through 1-2-1s, training, and performance management
- Promoting adoption of new technologies and ensuring the team stays ahead of industry trends
