The Role – BCAR Coordinator
As BCAR Coordinator, you’ll manage the Building Control (Amendment) Regulations 2014 compliance process across major projects in the Dublin region.
You’ll work closely with Assigned Certifiers, Design Certifiers, project teams, and subcontractors, ensuring every aspect of documentation and certification meets regulatory standards and project milestones.
This role is vital to achieving fully compliant project handovers and maintaining the company’s reputation for delivering excellence.

The Role – BCAR Coordinator
As BCAR Coordinator, you’ll manage the Building Control (Amendment) Regulations 2014 compliance process across major projects in the Dublin region.
You’ll work closely with Assigned Certifiers, Design Certifiers, project teams, and subcontractors, ensuring every aspect of documentation and certification meets regulatory standards and project milestones.
This role is vital to achieving fully compliant project handovers and maintaining the company’s reputation for delivering excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the full BCAR compliance process from project commencement to completion.
- Prepare, submit, and track all BCAR documentation, including Commencement Notices, Design Certificates, Inspection Plans, As-Built Drawings, and Product Certificates.
- Upload and maintain compliance records via the BCMS portal.
- Liaise with Assigned Certifiers, Design Certifiers, site teams, subcontractors, and local authorities.
- Manage and update BCAR trackers to ensure compliance before key milestones.
- Coordinate site inspections and maintain accurate records of test results, certifications, and reports.
- Support project handover through submission of the Certificate of Compliance on Completion.
About You
- 3+ years’ experience in a BCAR Coordinator, Document Controller, QA Coordinator, or Site Engineer role.
- Strong knowledge of Irish Building Regulations and the BCAR process.
- Proficient with BCMS, Aconex, Procore, or SharePoint.
- Capable of interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent organisation, accuracy, and communication skills.
- Proactive and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Degree or Diploma in Construction Management, Engineering, Architectural Technology, or Building Surveying preferred.
- Formal BCAR / BCMS system training advantageous.
