As a BIM Engineer, you’ll report to the BIM Lead and play a key role in delivering all 3D and 2D coordination milestones for projects. The role will involve both site-based work in a BIM environment and office-based tasks, depending on project requirements. You’ll also support tender information and smaller-scale projects when needed.

This is a permanent position based in Dublin with a strong pipeline of projects secured for the next 5+ years.

BIM Engineer Skills:
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a strong trade background supported by a BIM qualification.
  • Minimum of 3+ years’ experience in a BIM Coordination role.
  • Mechanical or Electrical background with proven experience in a similar role.
  • Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Proven ability to lead and support teams in a BIM environment.

As a Mechanical Engineer:
  • Produce and manage 3D model files in Revit and Fabrication CAD where required.
  • Generate accurate 2D coordination and installation drawings.
  • Ensure models are clash-free by regularly running clash detection and federating models.
  • Support the BIM Lead with design and coordination tasks.
  • Manage Vault files and ensure all submissions are in the correct format.
  • Attend and contribute to weekly coordination meetings.
  • Assist with clash resolutions on site.
  • Carry out site surveying and verification, including point cloud scanning and total station operation.
  • Produce verified record drawings and ensure layouts meet contract requirements.
  • Update and maintain coordination document registers and drawings.
  • Support tender submissions with required drawings.
  • Work as part of a project team to deliver efficient BIM coordination.
  • Build knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems within a BIM environment.
  • Develop a strong understanding of onsite coordination, fabrication, and construction processes.
  • Gain experience in leading coordination meetings and developing communication skills.
  • Progress towards a BIM Lead role when deemed ready

The Package:

Salary will be DOE, but you can expect a salary of at least €55,000 plus package.
