The Role BIM Lead
As BIM Lead you will take ownership of digital coordination across major Data Centre projects. This is not a support role. You will lead BIM delivery from project setup through to handover, ensuring all MEP services are fully coordinated, clash free and build ready.
You will act as the link between BIM and operations, working closely with Project Managers, Site Supervisors and Engineers to ensure what is modelled can be constructed efficiently on site. In a mission critical Data Centre environment, accuracy, resilience and speed of coordination are essential.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead BIM coordination on large scale Data Centre and mission critical construction projects
• Oversee and mentor BIM Engineers and Coordinators
• Review Employer Information Requirements and develop practical BIM Execution Plans
• Set up project workflows including WBS structures, BIM 360 and Common Data Environment management
• Build and maintain federated MEP models using Revit and Navisworks
• Run regular clash detection and ensure coordinated, buildable service layouts
• Manage coordination schedules, risk registers and information request logs
• Produce high quality 3D models and 2D construction drawings
• Attend and lead BIM coordination meetings with internal and external stakeholders
• Support on site teams with live clash resolution and buildability reviews
• Ensure accurate as built and record drawing delivery
• Maintain drawing registers and structured project documentation
• Drive process improvement and digital efficiency across Data Centre projects
About You
• Degree qualified in Engineering, Architecture, Building Services or related discipline
• 3 plus years BIM coordination experience within MEP or Data Centre construction
• Mechanical or Electrical background with strong technical understanding of services
• Proven ability to lead and support BIM Engineers
• Advanced Revit and Navisworks experience
• Strong understanding of BIM 360 and Common Data Environments
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Commercially aware with a strong focus on programme and quality
• Calm under pressure and capable of delivering in fast paced project environments
• Detail focused with a commitment to high standards of coordination
