The Company

This established international building services contractor has been delivering Mechanical and Electrical projects for more than 45 years across Ireland, the UK and mainland Europe. With expertise spanning data centres, pharmaceutical, industrial, healthcare, commercial, energy and high-end residential developments, the company has built a reputation for delivering technically complex projects to the highest standards.

Due to continued growth and an expanding project pipeline, they are seeking an experienced BIM Lead to drive digital project delivery across multiple M&E construction projects.

The Role: BIM Lead

Reporting to the Digital Engineering Manager, you will lead BIM coordination and digital construction delivery across a range of major M&E projects from pre-construction through to project handover.

Working closely with Project Managers, Design Engineers, BIM Coordinators, site teams and clients, you will ensure high-quality BIM delivery, coordinated models and efficient digital workflows throughout the project lifecycle.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced BIM professional looking to take ownership of BIM delivery while helping to shape digital engineering standards across a growing business.

Must Have Requirements

• Must have 5 years' experience in a BIM role within the M&E or construction sector.
• Proven experience coordinating Mechanical, Electrical and Public Health (MEP) services on major construction projects.
• Strong working knowledge of Revit MEP and Navisworks Manage.
• Experience implementing BIM Execution Plans (BEPs) and coordinating projects in accordance with ISO 19650 standards.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Experience

• Experience managing Common Data Environments including Autodesk Construction Cloud, BIM 360, Procore or Viewpoint.
• Experience leading BIM coordination meetings with clients, consultants and project teams.
• Strong understanding of clash detection, model federation and construction sequencing.
• Experience mentoring BIM Coordinators and BIM Technicians.
• Knowledge of digital handover requirements including COBie and O&M documentation.

Nice to Have

• Degree or Diploma in Building Services Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience on data centre, pharmaceutical or industrial projects.
• Knowledge of off-site manufacturing and digital construction methodologies.
• Experience supporting tender-stage BIM deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead BIM coordination and digital engineering delivery across multiple M&E construction projects.
• Manage BIM workflows, standards and model coordination throughout project delivery.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary Mechanical, Electrical and Public Health models using Revit and Navisworks.
• Support implementation of BIM Execution Plans and ISO 19650 standards across projects.
• Manage Common Data Environments and ensure accurate document control.
• Lead BIM coordination meetings and technical workshops with clients, consultants and project teams.
• Support construction teams by delivering coordinated, buildable models and installation drawings.
• Drive quality assurance across all BIM deliverables.
• Identify clashes and coordinate timely resolution with project stakeholders.
• Support pre-construction and design teams during tender and planning stages.
• Mentor BIM Coordinators and BIM Technicians, supporting their ongoing development.
• Promote innovation and continuous improvement across digital construction processes.

About You

You are an experienced BIM professional with a strong understanding of digital construction, model coordination and MEP services.

You enjoy working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and have the technical knowledge and leadership skills to deliver coordinated BIM solutions on large-scale construction projects.
