Job title: BIM Team Lead – Data Centre Construction

This established Irish contractor specialises exclusively in large-scale data centre delivery across Europe, providing full turnkey solutions from design through to commissioning. With multiple live projects across several European countries, they have built a reputation for delivering technically complex projects to the highest standards.
Due to continued growth on a major hyperscale data centre development in Skellefteå, Sweden, they are now seeking an experienced BIM Team Lead to oversee BIM delivery and coordination across a large multidisciplinary project.
The Role: BIM Team Lead
Based full-time on site in Skellefteå, Sweden, the BIM Team Lead will take overall responsibility for BIM delivery across the project while managing a team of BIM Coordinators and BIM Technicians.
You will work closely with package managers, site engineers, subcontractors, design teams and client representatives to ensure BIM processes are implemented correctly and all coordination requirements are achieved throughout project delivery.
This role is ideally suited to a senior BIM professional with strong Revit MEP experience and a proven background delivering large-scale construction projects within data centres, pharmaceuticals, industrial facilities or other highly serviced environments.

Must Have Requirements
- Must have 8 years' experience working on large-scale construction projects
- Proven Revit MEP experience required
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, BIM, Construction or a related discipline required
- Experience managing BIM teams and project-wide BIM delivery
- Strong coordination experience across MEP installations
- Data centre project experience preferred
- Navisworks coordination experience beneficial
- AutoCAD experience preferred
- Experience working with Irish, UK or European main contractors
- Knowledge of BIM Execution Plans and project information management
- BIM Management certification
- Experience working on hyperscale data centres
- Experience leading multidisciplinary BIM coordination meetings
- Familiarity with digital construction and emerging BIM technologies
- Take overall responsibility for BIM delivery across the project
- Ensure company BIM procedures and standards are implemented throughout the project
- Lead, mentor and manage BIM Coordinators and BIM Technicians
- Coordinate BIM activities between subcontractors, consultants and project teams
- Liaise with Package Managers and Site Engineers on complex MEP installations
- Manage and resolve multidisciplinary clashes and coordination issues
- Oversee production of drawings, schedules and BIM deliverables
- Ensure all BIM outputs comply with the BIM Execution Plan
- Support site teams with technical BIM requirements
- Drive continuous improvement and BIM innovation initiatives
- Attend coordination meetings and provide project reporting to senior management
- Experienced BIM Lead, BIM Manager or Senior BIM Coordinator
- Strong technical knowledge of MEP systems and construction methodologies
- Excellent Revit skills with an MEP focus
- Comfortable managing multiple stakeholders across a large project team
- Strong organisational and planning skills
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
- Ability to work effectively within a fast-moving site environment
- Detail-focused with a proactive approach to problem solving
