The Company
Our client is a specialist data centre contractor delivering major turnkey data centre projects across Europe, covering civil, structural, architectural, mechanical and electrical works.
With a strong pipeline of large-scale data centre developments, they are seeking an experienced BIM Team Lead to manage BIM delivery and MEP coordination on a major project in Vaasa, Finland.
The Role: BIM Team Lead
This BIM Team Lead position involves taking overall responsibility for BIM delivery on a large-scale data centre project, managing a team of BIM Coordinators and Technicians while ensuring all disciplines are coordinated in line with the project BIM Execution Plan.
Working closely with package managers, site engineers, subcontractors and the client team, you will oversee MEP coordination, clash detection and the production of accurate construction information.
The role is fully site-based in Finland, with a choice of 17 days on, 4 days off or 5 weeks on, 1 week off rotations.
Must Have Requirements
You are an experienced BIM Team Lead, BIM Manager or Senior BIM Coordinator with a strong background in MEP coordination on major construction projects.
You will be confident managing BIM teams, working with Revit and coordinating complex mechanical and electrical installations in a live site environment.
Strong communication, leadership and organisational skills are essential, along with the ability to resolve technical issues and maintain BIM deliverables in line with the construction programme.

- Must have a minimum of 8 years' BIM experience working on major construction projects.
- Strong Revit experience with an MEP bias is essential.
- Proven experience managing BIM coordination and delivery across large-scale projects.
- Relevant degree in Engineering, Construction or a related technical discipline required.
- Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical services coordination, BIM procedures and construction drawings.
- Previous BIM experience on large-scale data centre projects.
- Experience managing BIM Coordinators, BIM Technicians and multidisciplinary design teams.
- Strong working knowledge of Navisworks for clash detection and model coordination.
- AutoCAD experience beneficial.
- Experience working with specialist MEP subcontractors and package managers on live construction projects.
- Take overall responsibility for BIM delivery across a major data centre project in Finland.
- Manage and support BIM Coordinators and Technicians to ensure project requirements are achieved.
- Coordinate complex mechanical, electrical and building services installations with site engineers and package managers.
- Manage clash detection, model reviews and resolution of coordination issues between disciplines.
- Ensure BIM procedures and the project BIM Execution Plan are followed by site teams and subcontractors.
- Liaise with the client, design teams and specialist subcontractors to resolve technical coordination issues.
- Oversee the production of coordinated drawings, specifications and schedules.
- Provide technical support and mentoring to junior BIM team members.
- Support improvements in BIM processes, technology and project delivery.
