BMS Engineer Skills:
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, Building Services Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with BMS systems, including design, programming, and commissioning.
- Proficiency with major BMS platforms (e.g., Trend, Siemens, Honeywell, Schneider, or similar).
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems and their integration with BMS platforms.
- Knowledge of communication protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, and LonWorks.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational and project management abilities.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office Suite, and other relevant software.
- Strong communication skills for effective client and team collaboration.
- Full, clean driving license and willingness to travel for site visits.
As a BMS Engineer:
- Develop detailed designs and specifications for BMS systems tailored to project requirements.
- Configure and program BMS systems, including controllers, sensors, and user interfaces, to ensure seamless operation.
- Oversee or assist with the installation, testing, and commissioning of BMS systems, ensuring compliance with project specifications and standards.
- Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Provide technical support, troubleshoot issues, and perform maintenance to ensure optimal system performance.
- Analyse system performance data to identify opportunities for energy efficiency improvements and recommend upgrades or adjustments.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs, provide technical guidance, and deliver tailored solutions.
- Prepare comprehensive project documentation, including system designs, user manuals, and commissioning reports.
- Ensure all BMS systems adhere to relevant regulations, industry standards, and best practices.
- Provide training to clients and end-users on system operation and functionality.
