The Role – Civils Lead
As Civils Lead, you will take full ownership of all civil and CSA activities on a major data centre project in Finland. This is a senior site-based role with responsibility for programme delivery, subcontractor management, quality control, and safety performance across the civils scope.
You will work closely with the Project Manager, Planner, Commercial team, and Design Consultants to ensure works are delivered safely, on programme, and to the highest standards expected on a mission-critical project.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate all civil and CSA work packages from site setup through to project closeout
- Drive a strong health and safety culture in collaboration with the site safety team
- Manage QA and quality control processes, inspections, and documentation
- Coordinate programme sequencing with the Planner, Project Manager, subcontractors, and designers
- Oversee daily site operations, reporting, and progress tracking
- Manage and monitor subcontractor performance, manpower levels, and quality standards
- Chair subcontractor meetings and contribute to internal and client coordination meetings
- Support cost control, forecasting, and variation management with the QS team
- Attend project reviews, engineering meetings, planning sessions, and handover meetings
- Review drawings, setting-out information, and as-built documentation
- Manage CSA snagging and closeout to a high-quality finish
- Support final handover including QA files, safety documentation, and demobilisation
- Degree-qualified in Civil Engineering or a related construction discipline
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in civil or CSA roles on large-scale construction projects
- Previous experience in data centre, mission-critical, pharmaceutical, or industrial construction preferred
- Strong understanding of programme management, sequencing, and site logistics
- Proven ability to lead teams and manage multiple subcontractors
- High standards for quality, safety, and documentation
- Commercially aware with experience supporting cost control and change management
- Confident communicator with a collaborative and proactive leadership style
