Commissioning Manager Skills:
- 5+ years in a senior commissioning role, ideally leading large infrastructure projects.
- Strong experience working with PLCs—you’ll know how to spot a software bug before it becomes a problem.
- Comfortable using Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Drive)—we like to keep things collaborative and cloud-based.
- Must be eligible to work in Europe.
As a Commissioning Manager:
- You’ll ensure all commissioning activities meet project specs, commissioning plans, and relevant procedures. No shortcuts—just top-tier execution.
- Hands-on with testing and performance validation to ensure everything is installed and running exactly as it should.
- Manage commissioning and testing across complex system interfaces—making sure everything works seamlessly together.
- You’ll maintain up-to-date commissioning records, including test scripts and critical documentation. Always organised and audit-ready.
- Stay ahead of design modifications and as-built changes that emerge during commissioning—logging, tracking, and keeping everyone informed.
- Identify the right tools and specialist equipment needed to keep commissioning activities moving efficiently.
- Review and improve subcontractor commissioning procedures to ensure they meet contract and project-specific needs.
- Oversee and witness commissioning processes performed by subcontractors and specialist engineers—ensuring it’s done right, first time.
- Attend and witness FATs when required, making sure what’s promised is exactly what’s delivered.
- Collaborate on the preparation and review of works test plans and procedures to ensure smooth execution.
- Mentor and support Commissioning Engineers and Assistants, leading key project areas and ensuring the team delivers to a high standard.
- Work closely with the construction teams to align commissioning schedules with ongoing site activities.
- Provide clear, no-nonsense weekly progress reports, highlighting key wins, challenges, and solutions.
