Location: Kildare 
Salary: €95,000 – €100,000 (DOE) Full Package
 
The Company

Our client is a leading international technical engineering and construction partner, operating across Ireland, the UK and mainland Europe. They deliver fast-track, design-and-build projects for end-user clients in highly regulated and high-spec sectors such as data centres, advanced manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, logistics and food production.

Known for their pace of delivery and strong digital/lean approach, they’re expanding their Irish pre-construction function to support a growing pipeline of large, technically complex builds in Leinster and beyond.


The Role – CSA Pre-Construction Manager

This is a senior pre-construction position where you will lead all civil, structural and architectural (CSA) activities from early design through to handover into construction. You’ll work closely with internal planning/estimating/BIM teams, external consultants and clients to ensure the CSA scope is buildable, coordinated, cost-effective and de-risked before site mobilisation.

Key Responsibilities:

Design Management

• Review and coordinate CSA drawings/specifications to ensure feasibility and compliance.
  
  
• Liaise with design consultants to drive cost-effective, buildable design solutions.
  
  
• Lead CSA value engineering to optimise quality, programme and cost.
  
  

Pre-Construction Planning

• Develop CSA scope, define work packages and support tender strategy.
  
  
• Coordinate technical inputs for procurement and subcontractor selection.
  
  
• Support pre-construction schedules, sequencing and phasing plans.
  
  

Budget & Costing

• Provide technical input to estimating for CSA packages.
  
  
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and assess bids for completeness/accuracy.
  
  
• Track design changes impacting CSA cost and programme.
  
  

Risk & Constructability

• Identify design, site and programme risks early and propose mitigations.
  
  
• Carry out constructability reviews to improve build efficiency.
  
  

Stakeholder Coordination & Handover

• Interface with clients, consultants, CSA subcontractors, and MEP teams to ensure integration.
  
  
• Support the transition into construction with complete, issued-for-build CSA information.
  
  
• Provide ongoing technical support as construction ramps up.
  
  

About You

• Degree in Civil / Structural Engineering, Construction Management or similar.
  
  
• 8 years’ CSA or general construction experience, with 3 years in pre-construction/design coordination.
  
  
• Track record on large-scale projects such as data centres, pharma, commercial or industrial builds.
  
  
• Strong understanding of Irish/EU building codes and CSA delivery best practice.
  
  
• Confident communicator who can lead coordination workshops and influence build strategy.
  
  

Desirable:

• Chartered Engineer (or working toward chartership).
  
  
• Experience with international clients or regulated sectors.
  
  
• Lean or digital construction exposure.
