- Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or related discipline
- Experience working as a Design Engineer on water or infrastructure projects
- Proven experience delivering projects for Uisce Éireann or similar utility clients
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD; ArcGIS experience is highly advantageous
- Ability to develop detailed design drawings, reports and technical documentation
- Strong understanding of safety, environmental, constructability and commercial considerations in design
- Ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary project teams
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to use initiative
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness to undertake site visits and technical assessments
- Full clean Irish driving licence and authorisation to work in Ireland
- Develop design drawings, calculations and supporting documentation from project brief through detailed design
- Ensure designs prioritise safety, environmental compliance, constructability and cost efficiency
- Work collaboratively with civil, mechanical, electrical and environmental engineers
- Liaise with clients, local authorities and key stakeholders throughout the design process
- Carry out site visits, surveys and technical assessments to inform and validate design solutions
- Identify opportunities to incorporate sustainability, innovation and modern engineering practices into designs
- Support design coordination during construction phases and respond to technical queries
- Maintain awareness of evolving standards, legislation and best practice through continuous professional development
