EHS Advisor Skills:
- Relevant degree qualification in Health & Safety or related discipline
- Minimum 3 years’ experience on large construction sites, ideally within MEP or data centre projects
- Strong knowledge of environmental, health, and safety legislation
- Experience managing safety systems, audits, inspections, and hazard assessments
- Proactive and able to identify and mitigate risks
- Excellent communication, reporting, and IT skills
- Flexible and able to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic construction environment
- Support the project management team and site H&S lead in delivering safe operations
- Ensure compliance with project safety management systems and statutory EHS requirements
- Review method statements, risk assessments, permits, and safe work plans
- Carry out regular site audits and inspections, documenting findings and following up on corrective actions
- Maintain statutory inspection records for tools, plant, and project activities
- Manage COSHH assessments and control of hazardous substances on site
- Ensure subcontractors comply with site and group EHS policies
- Coordinate site inductions, training, and Toolbox Talks
- Assist with accident investigations and report findings promptly to project management
- Monitor welfare and hygiene facilities to ensure standards are maintained
- Support waste reduction and recycling initiatives across the site
- Attend daily briefings and coordination meetings to maintain safe operations
