This specialist engineering contractor is one of Europe's leading data centre delivery partners, providing full turnkey solutions from design and construction through to commissioning. With major hyperscale developments underway across Europe, they continue to deliver some of the continent's most technically demanding mission-critical projects.
Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced EHS Manager to join a major data centre project in Helsinki.
The Role: EHS Manager
Reporting to the Project EHS Lead, you will take responsibility for managing Environmental, Health and Safety across a major live data centre construction project. Working closely with project management, site teams and subcontractors, you will ensure the highest standards of safety compliance are maintained throughout all phases of construction.
This is a key leadership position where you'll help drive a proactive safety culture while ensuring all works are delivered in accordance with company procedures, statutory legislation and industry best practice.
Must Have Requirements
You are an experienced EHS Manager with a proven track record delivering Health & Safety across major construction projects. You are confident leading site teams, engaging with subcontractors and ensuring the highest standards of compliance across fast-paced project environments.
You thrive on promoting positive safety behaviours and have the leadership skills to influence project teams while maintaining a practical, solutions-focused approach.

Must Have Requirements
- Minimum 5 years' experience in an EHS Manager or Senior Health & Safety role on large-scale construction projects.
- Degree in Environmental, Health & Safety or a related discipline.
- Strong knowledge of Irish and European Health & Safety legislation.
- Experience managing subcontractors and delivering safety programmes on complex construction sites.
- Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
- Data centre, pharmaceutical or other mission-critical construction experience.
- Experience developing Construction Stage Health & Safety Plans.
- Knowledge of permit-to-work systems, RAMS and Safe Plans of Action.
- Experience leading incident investigations and safety audits.
- Strong reporting and stakeholder management skills.
- Manage project compliance with the company Safety Management System.
- Develop and maintain Construction Stage Health & Safety Plans.
- Monitor compliance with project-specific Health, Safety and Environmental procedures.
- Carry out regular site inspections, audits and safety reviews.
- Manage RAMS, Safe Plans of Action, COSHH assessments and permit-to-work systems.
- Promote a positive safety culture across all project teams and subcontractors.
- Lead incident investigations and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
- Coordinate site inductions, safety training and ongoing EHS initiatives.
- Monitor subcontractor compliance with project safety requirements.
- Prepare regular EHS reports and performance metrics for senior management.
- Maintain statutory inspection records and project safety documentation.
- Identify project risks and implement effective mitigation measures.
