The Company
This specialist MEP contractor designs and manufactures prefabricated building services solutions from its Irish facilities for major projects across Ireland, the UK and Europe.
Based in Dundalk, Co Louth, the business has a growing data centre division delivering modular MEP solutions for technically complex mission-critical projects.
The Role: Electrical Design Engineer
As Electrical Design Engineer, you will develop electrical designs for major data centre projects from initial concept through detailed design, manufacture, installation and commissioning.
Working with the wider Design, BIM and project teams, you will produce electrical drawings, plant selections, cable routes, specifications and BMS control designs for offsite manufactured MEP systems.
Must Have Requirements
You will be an experienced Electrical Design Engineer with a strong building services background and the ability to take electrical designs through the full project lifecycle.
You should be technically strong, organised and comfortable coordinating with clients, suppliers, BIM teams and project delivery teams.

Must Have Requirements
- Must have 5+ years’ electrical design experience within building services.
- HNC/HND or higher qualification in Electrical or Control Engineering, or equivalent.
- Hands on experience with electrical design software required.
- Strong understanding of electrical design standards and building services systems.
- Data centre or mission-critical project experience preferred.
- AutoCAD, Revit MEP or Amtech experience beneficial.
- BMS controls and commissioning experience advantageous.
- Develop electrical designs from concept through construction and completion.
- Prepare electrical drawings, plant selections, cable routes and installation specifications.
- Develop BMS control panel drawings and descriptions of operation.
- Coordinate electrical designs with BIM, mechanical and project teams.
- Attend client and project design meetings.
- Work with Contracts Managers and commissioning teams through testing and handover.
- Ensure designs comply with relevant technical, quality and safety standards.
