This established infrastructure contractor has been delivering major water, wastewater, utilities, and civil engineering projects across Ireland for decades.
With a strong pipeline of work secured across Kildare and the Greater Dublin Area the company continues to invest in its engineering teams and is now seeking a Project Engineer to support the delivery of key infrastructure projects throughout the region.
The Role: Project Engineer
Based in Kildare, this role will involve supporting the delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects across Kildare and the Greater Dublin Area.
Working closely with Project Managers, Site Managers, design teams, subcontractors, and clients, you will play a key role in coordinating project activities, overseeing electrical and MEICA installations, ensuring quality standards are maintained, and supporting successful project delivery.
This role offers excellent exposure to civil, mechanical, electrical, and commissioning elements of major infrastructure projects.
Must Have Requirements
You are an ambitious Project Engineer looking to build your career within the water, utilities, or infrastructure sector.
You have strong communication skills, enjoy working within multidisciplinary teams, and can coordinate effectively with site teams, subcontractors, and clients.
You are organised, technically minded, and keen to gain experience across all stages of project delivery including design, construction, testing, and commissioning.

Must Have Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or a relevant engineering discipline required
- 1 to 5 years post-graduate experience required
- Full clean Irish or EU driving licence required
- Strong problem-solving and technical coordination skills
- Authorised to work in Ireland with no sponsorship requirement
- Water, wastewater, utilities, or infrastructure project experience preferred
- Exposure to electrical, MEICA, or process installations beneficial
- Experience working with contractors on live construction projects advantageous
- Knowledge of commissioning and testing procedures beneficial
- Experience using AutoCAD or similar design software
- Understanding of health & safety systems on construction projects
- Knowledge of quality assurance and project documentation processes
- Support the delivery of water and utilities infrastructure projects across Kildare and the Greater Dublin Area
- Participate in design reviews and ensure EICA designs meet project requirements
- Coordinate daily site activities with subcontractors, suppliers, and project teams
- Monitor progress against programme and escalate issues where required
- Oversee electrical installation activities including power, control, and instrumentation systems
- Support testing and commissioning activities in conjunction with commissioning teams
- Implement and maintain quality control procedures across project activities
- Conduct site inspections and monitor compliance with specifications and standards
- Promote a strong health & safety culture across all project activities
- Coordinate with civil, mechanical, and electrical disciplines to ensure smooth project delivery
- Assist with subcontractor management, scope development, and performance monitoring
- Maintain accurate project records, reports, and technical documentation
- Support project planning, site investigations, and engineering reviews
