The Company
This established Irish infrastructure contractor has been delivering major water, wastewater, utilities, and civil engineering projects across Ireland for decades.
With a strong pipeline of water and wastewater projects secured throughout Munster and across the country, the company continues to invest in its engineering teams and is now seeking an Electrical Project Engineer to join its growing MEICA division based in Castletroy, Co Limerick.
The Role: Electrical Project Engineer
This is an excellent opportunity for an Electrical Project Engineer to join a busy MEICA team delivering water and wastewater infrastructure projects across Ireland.
Working closely with project managers, design teams, subcontractors, and clients, you will support the delivery of electrical engineering packages from design coordination and procurement through to installation, commissioning, and project handover.
The successful candidate will play a key role in technical coordination, programme management, project reporting, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme, and to the highest quality standards.
Must Have Requirements
You are an Electrical Project Engineer with experience delivering water, wastewater, utilities, or infrastructure projects within a contractor environment.
You have strong organisational skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to manage multiple project priorities while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
You enjoy working within multidisciplinary teams and are comfortable liaising with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal project teams.

Must Have Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline required
- Must have 5 years' experience within the water and wastewater sector
- Proven experience in electrical engineering project delivery required
- Strong understanding of water and wastewater treatment processes
- Full clean Irish or EU driving licence required
- Experience working on water, wastewater, or utilities infrastructure projects preferred
- Knowledge of FIDIC, NEC, or Public Works Contracts beneficial
- Experience managing subcontractors and multidisciplinary project teams advantageous
- Competent in Microsoft Project programming software preferred
- Chartered Engineer status or working towards chartership
- Experience with instrumentation, control, and automation systems
- Knowledge of BIM and digital project delivery platforms beneficial
- Coordinate and liaise with internal and external design teams across electrical and ICA disciplines
- Support the successful delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects
- Provide technical and commercial guidance to multidisciplinary project teams
- Develop and manage project programmes and resource-loaded schedules
- Monitor project progress and proactively resolve scope, cost, and programme issues
- Ensure implementation of health, safety, quality, and environmental procedures across projects
- Prepare accurate project reports for clients and senior management teams
- Manage project delivery to achieve programme, quality, and financial objectives
- Support design reviews, procurement activities, commissioning, and project close-out processes
- Liaise with clients, subcontractors, consultants, and site teams throughout project delivery
- Assist in maintaining strong stakeholder relationships across all project phases
