Electrical Project Manager Skills:
- 5–7 years' experience in electrical project management (contractor or trade background).
- Electrical trade qualification and/or relevant third-level degree.
- A solid record of delivering large-scale electrical installations, preferably on design & build contracts.
- Deep knowledge of complex electrical services – including LV/MV distribution, fire alarm, emergency lighting, comms, security systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project and Excel.
- Strong commercial acumen and ability to maintain project margins.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities.
- A strong track record of enforcing safety, quality, and compliance onsite.
- Experience with ATEX/Compex is a major plus.
- Background in water or gas treatment projects (including process/automation) is advantageous.
- Familiarity with CE marking and harmonised standards for construction products.
- Driving license
- Irish construction experience
As an Electrical Project Manager:
- Full responsibility for all aspects of the electrical scope, including design coordination, construction, inspection, testing, commissioning, and handover.
- Ensuring the project is delivered safely, on time, to specification, and within budget.
- Leading and driving large teams of engineers, electricians, subcontractors, and specialists to meet demanding programme targets.
- Taking ownership of cost control, resource planning, and ensuring project profitability.
- Managing all procurement – labour, materials, plant, and specialist subcontractors.
- Setting and upholding high standards for EHS and quality on-site.
- Develop and manage construction, quality, commissioning, and SHESQ plans.
- Oversee the preparation and coordination of Technical Submittals and RFIs.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant electrical standards and regulations:
- BCAR 2014
- Safe Electric guidelines
- IS10101:2020 and amendments
- Electrical testing, verification & certification process (ET&V)
- Monitor progress against programme and proactively manage schedule risks.
- Conduct weekly internal and external meetings, ensuring strong communication with clients, contractors, and team members.
- Manage the testing, commissioning, LOTO protocols, and final documentation (O&M manuals, test packs).
- Provide feedback on new business leads and maintain strong client relationships.
The Package:
Salary will be DOE, but you can expect a salary of at least €85,000 plus package.
