Job title: Estimation Manager – HVAC / Building Services
Location: Dublin, Co. Dublin
Company: National HVAC and Building Services Supplier
Package: Up to €85,000 DOE plus bonus, pension and benefits
The Company
This well-known HVAC and building services supplier provides heating and cooling systems, plant and associated equipment across commercial, industrial and high-density residential projects throughout Ireland.
Operating from multiple locations across Ireland, the business supports mechanical contractors, consultants and construction teams with technical engineering, system selection and project quotations across a wide range of building services projects.
The Role: Estimation Manager
Based from the Dublin head office, the Estimation Manager will report directly to the Commercial Director and take responsibility for leading and developing the estimating function.
You will manage a team of Engineers and CAD Technicians, overseeing quotations, product selection and bills of materials while ensuring proposals are technically accurate, commercially competitive and clearly presented.
A major part of the role will involve working closely with Business Development, Technical and Specification teams to improve commercial performance and convert project opportunities.

About You
You will come from a strong HVAC, building services, mechanical engineering, estimating or commercial background with experience managing people and delivering accurate project quotations.
You should be commercially aware, technically confident and comfortable working across drawings, specifications, pricing and margin analysis. Strong communication and leadership skills are important, particularly when developing engineers and coordinating with internal commercial and technical teams.

Must Have Requirements
- Must have a relevant Building Services, Mechanical Engineering, Construction, Quantity Surveying or trade background
- Minimum 5 years’ experience leading a technical, estimating, engineering or sales support team
- Strong experience required in commercial estimating, tendering and project quotations
- Must be confident reading technical specifications, drawings and schedules
- Proven people management and team development experience required
Preferred Experience
- HVAC, mechanical building services or M&E industry experience preferred
- CRM and reporting system experience beneficial
- Advanced Excel and data analysis skills beneficial
- Experience improving estimating or quotation processes preferred
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, manage and develop the Estimation Team, including Engineers and CAD Technicians
- Oversee preparation of quotations, product selections and bills of materials
- Ensure quotations are technically robust, correctly priced and commercially competitive
- Review project margins and identify opportunities to improve profitability
- Drive cross-selling across the wider HVAC product portfolio
- Develop and maintain estimating procedures, SOPs and service standards
- Work closely with Commercial, Business Development, Technical and Specification teams
- Produce KPI reports and commercial analysis for senior management
- Maintain a strong customer focus across the estimating function
