Our client is one of Ireland’s largest and longest-established Tier 1 main contractors, with a turnover well in excess of €400m annually and a reputation for delivering some of the country’s most technically complex and high-value projects.
Operating nationwide for decades, they deliver mission-critical data centres, pharmaceutical plants, food & beverage facilities, large commercial buildings, residential schemes, and major office fit-outs, projects often ranging from €20m to €300m .
With significant growth forecast for 2025 and a strong pipeline of secured work, they are expanding their high-performing Estimating Department and seeking an experienced Estimator to join the team.

The Role – Estimator
You will play a key role in tendering major construction projects across multiple sectors, producing detailed, accurate tenders that support strategic project wins.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, analyse, and compile detailed tender submissions based on drawings, BOQs, and specifications.
- Source, assess, and negotiate subcontractor and supplier quotations.
- Review tender documentation for risk, ambiguity, and compliance.
- Issue drawings and tender packages to subcontractors and manage follow-ups.
- Support the continuous improvement of estimating processes and internal systems.
- Stay updated on contract frameworks, industry changes, and cost trends.
- Work collaboratively within a strong commercial and pre-construction team.
About You
- 5 years’ experience in an Estimator or Estimator/QS role.
- Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or similar (preferred).
- Strong analytical, numerical, and risk-assessment skills.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team structure.
- Excellent IT proficiency, Excel essential, plus familiarity with QS/estimating software.
- Strong communication and commercial awareness.
