The Company
This Irish Tier 1 main contractor delivers major residential, commercial and mixed-use construction projects across Dublin and the wider Leinster region, with a strong focus on quality finishes, programme delivery and well-managed sites.
They are now looking for an experienced Finishing Supervisor to join the site team on a major 400-unit residential development in West Dublin, taking responsibility for internal and external finishing works through snagging and handover.
The Role: Finishing Supervisor
As Finishing Supervisor, you will coordinate finishing trades across this large-scale 400-unit residential development in West Dublin, working closely with the Site Manager, subcontractors and wider site team. You will manage plastering, joinery, painting, tiling and specialist finishes, with responsibility for quality control, snagging, subcontractor coordination and defect-free handovers.
Must Have Requirements
• Proven experience supervising finishing trades on residential construction projects
• Strong technical knowledge of internal and external finishing works
• Proven experience managing subcontractors and coordinating multiple trades
• Strong understanding of quality control, snagging and project handover procedures
Preferred Experience
• Large-scale apartment or residential development experience preferred
• Tier 1 main contractor or developer experience beneficial
• CSCS or equivalent site qualification beneficial
• Experience using site reporting software and Microsoft Office
Key Responsibilities
• Coordinate plastering, joinery, painting, tiling and specialist finishing trades
• Plan finishing works with the Site Manager and subcontractors to maintain programme
• Carry out daily quality inspections and ensure defects are rectified promptly
• Manage subcontractor performance and coordinate interfaces between trades
• Maintain snagging registers, progress records and handover documentation
• Coordinate with site management and other trades to resolve issues and minimise delays
• Maintain health and safety standards across finishing activities
• Monitor materials and report shortages or defects to the site team
• Support snagging inspections and close out works ahead of practical completion
About You
You are an experienced Finishing Supervisor with a strong understanding of quality finishes and the sequencing required on large-scale residential developments.
You will be organised, hands on and confident coordinating finishing subcontractors while maintaining quality and programme. Strong attention to detail is essential, particularly around snagging, defect management and handover.
