With a strong pipeline of major construction projects, this contractor is now recruiting an experienced Finishing Supervisor for a €70 million commercial refurbishment project in Dublin 2.

The Role: Finishing Supervisor
This is an opportunity for an experienced Finishing Supervisor to take responsibility for the coordination and delivery of internal and external finishing works on a €70 million commercial project in Dublin 2, South Dublin City Centre.
You will oversee finishing trades, manage subcontractors and ensure all works are completed to the required quality standards and programme milestones.
Working closely with the Site Manager and wider construction team, you will coordinate finishing activities, monitor quality, manage snagging and ensure completed areas are handed over to a high standard.
The project involves extensive refurbishment and high quality finishes throughout a large-scale commercial office development, requiring strong attention to detail and effective subcontractor coordination.
Must Have Requirements
You are an experienced Finishing Supervisor with a strong background in managing internal and external finishes on large scale commercial construction, refurbishment or fit out projects.
You will have a practical understanding of finishing materials, workmanship standards and construction sequencing, with the ability to coordinate multiple subcontractors and maintain progress across different work areas.
You will be organised, hands-on and comfortable managing finishing teams in a busy site environment. Strong communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to drive works through snagging and final handover are essential.

Must Have Requirements
- Proven experience as a Finishing Supervisor or Finishing Foreman on Irish construction projects.
- Strong technical knowledge of plastering, joinery, painting, tiling and associated finishing trades.
- Experience managing finishing subcontractors and coordinating multiple trades on site.
- Proven experience delivering high quality finishes, managing snagging and completing handovers.
- Experience working with a main contractor, developer or fit out specialist required.
- Previous experience on large scale commercial refurbishment or high end office fit out projects preferred.
- Experience working with a Tier 1 main contractor beneficial.
- Strong understanding of finishing sequences and construction programme delivery.
- CSCS or equivalent site safety qualifications desirable.
- Experience using Procore, Dalux or similar construction reporting software advantageous.
- Supervise and coordinate finishing trades, including plastering, joinery, painting, tiling and specialist finishing works.
- Plan and programme finishing activities alongside the Site Manager and subcontractors to achieve project milestones.
- Monitor workmanship and quality standards through regular inspections, identifying defects and ensuring timely rectification.
- Manage subcontractor performance, monitor productivity and ensure works are completed in the correct sequence.
- Coordinate finishing activities with other trades to avoid delays and maintain programme delivery.
- Maintain accurate records of site progress, labour, materials and daily activities.
- Manage snagging registers, quality inspections and close out documentation ahead of handover.
- Work closely with site management, subcontractors and client representatives to resolve technical and coordination issues.
- Ensure all finishing activities comply with health, safety, environmental and quality requirements.
- Conduct toolbox talks, monitor safe working practices and address any safety concerns.
- Assist with materials procurement, stock control and the timely delivery of finishing materials.
- Attend site meetings, provide progress updates and highlight any programme or quality risks.
- Ensure all completed finishing works meet project specifications and client expectations ahead of practical completion.
