Our client is one of Ireland’s leading Tier 1 main contractors, delivering some of the most high-profile commercial developments in Dublin and across Ireland.

They are known for consistently delivering complex, fast-paced builds to exceptional standards of safety, quality, and programme performance. Their portfolio includes large commercial headquarters, mixed-use urban schemes, pharma and industrial facilities, and technically demanding city-centre projects, typically ranging from €30m to €200m .

With a major commercial development now underway in Dublin City, they are seeking an experienced General Foreman to drive site performance and daily delivery across multiple work fronts.


The Role – General Foreman (Commercial Build)

As General Foreman, you will take ownership of day-to-day site execution, coordinating trades, subcontractors, and logistics to keep works on programme and to the highest quality standards.

Working closely with the Site Manager, Project Manager, and Engineering team, you’ll ensure safe, efficient, and well-sequenced delivery across a large-scale commercial build.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and coordinate day-to-day site operations across multiple commercial work fronts.
  
  
• Manage direct labour and subcontractors, ensuring productivity and programme targets are achieved.
  
  
• Plan and drive short-term look-ahead scheduling and trade sequencing.
  
  
• Maintain high standards of quality and workmanship throughout all phases.
  
  
• Promote and enforce a strong Health & Safety culture on site.
  
  
• Coordinate site logistics, materials flow, plant, access, and deliveries.
  
  
• Identify and resolve site issues early to prevent delays or rework.
  
  
• Support daily site briefings and reporting to senior site leadership.
  
  
• Assist with snagging, inspections, and progressive handovers.
  
  
• Mentor junior supervisors and lead by example on professionalism and standards.
  
  

About You

• 6 years’ experience as a General Foreman or Senior Supervisor with a main contractor.
  
  
• Proven background on large commercial, mixed-use, or technically complex builds.
  
  
• Strong trade knowledge and excellent understanding of sequencing and logistics.
  
  
• Confident coordinating multiple subcontract packages simultaneously.
  
  
• Proactive planner, calm under pressure, solutions-focused.
  
  
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
  
  
• Excellent commitment to safety, quality, and programme delivery.
