The Role - Health and Safety Manager
This is a key leadership role overseeing health and safety across 2 live residential construction sites one with 500 units, the other with 350 units. Your main focus will be on the larger project in north Cork. You will work closely with site management teams, subcontractors and senior leadership to drive a proactive safety culture while ensuring full compliance with Irish HSA regulations.
You will play a hands-on role on site, influencing behaviours, maintaining standards and ensuring safe delivery of housing developments from groundworks through to completion.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead all Health and Safety activities across multiple residential construction sites
- Ensure full compliance with Irish HSA legislation and regulatory requirements
- Work closely with site managers, engineers, and subcontractors to maintain safe working practices
- Manage and implement site-specific safety plans, risk assessments, and method statements
- Carry out regular site audits, inspections, and reporting
- Oversee PSCS duties and ensure all obligations are met
- Drive a strong safety culture through training, toolbox talks, and engagement
- Investigate incidents, implement corrective actions, and prevent recurrence
- Maintain accurate safety documentation and reporting systems
- Liaise with clients and stakeholders on all EHS matters
About You
- Proven experience as an EHS Manager or Senior EHS Advisor on residential construction projects
- Strong background in housing developments, low to mid-rise residential essential
- Excellent knowledge of Irish HSA legislation and site compliance requirements
- Experience working with main contractors or developers on residential builds
- Ability to manage safety across multiple sites simultaneously
- Strong communication skills with a hands-on, site-focused approach
- Confident working with site teams, subcontractors, and senior management
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to high safety standards
