The Role: Health & Safety Officer
This Health & Safety Officer role is based on a major data centre construction project in Frankfurt, Germany.
You will work closely with the Project Manager, site management team, and subcontractors to maintain high safety standards across a busy live construction environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring compliance with site procedures, promoting safe systems of work, and supporting the overall delivery programme on site.
This role will suit a Health & Safety Officer with previous experience on large construction projects, particularly within data centres, industrial, pharmaceutical, or mission critical environments.

Must Have Requirements
- Must have previous experience as a Health & Safety Officer on construction projects
- Experience with a main contractor or large subcontractor environment is required
- Proven experience required managing site safety documentation, RAMS, and permits
- Strong knowledge of European or Irish construction health & safety standards
- Full working rights within the EU preferred
Preferred Experience
- Data centre project experience preferred
- Experience working on fast track or mission critical projects beneficial
- IOSH or NEBOSH qualification advantageous
- Experience using digital safety management systems beneficial
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and enforce site health & safety compliance across all project activities
- Carry out regular site inspections, audits, and toolbox talks
- Review RAMS, permits to work, and subcontractor safety documentation
- Support incident investigations and implement corrective actions where required
- Maintain accurate health & safety records and reporting systems
- Work closely with site management teams to ensure safe programme delivery
- Coordinate with subcontractors to ensure compliance with project safety standards
- Promote a positive safety culture across the project

- Strong understanding of construction health & safety procedures
- Confident working in a fast paced live site environment
- Excellent communication and reporting skills
- Ability to engage with subcontractors and site teams professionally
- Organised and detail focused approach to documentation and compliance
- Capable of working independently while supporting wider project teams
- Strong focus on safe delivery and continuous improvement
