The Role: Health and Safety Officer You will report to the Senior Health and Safety Manager and take ownership of on-site safety compliance, training, and risk mitigation. Responsibilities include:
- Conducting regular site inspections and safety audits
- Leading investigations into incidents and near-misses
- Preparing and maintaining all Health & Safety documentation
- Supporting and advising site teams on safety best practices
- Carrying out toolbox talks and training sessions
- Monitoring subcontractor compliance and documentation
- Reviewing RAMS and ensuring full legislative compliance on-site
Key Requirements: To be considered for the role, you should have:
- A 3rd level qualification in Health and Safety (or related field)
- 4+ years' experience in a Health and Safety role in construction
- Preferably a member of IOSH
- Excellent knowledge of H&S legislation and site processes
- Ability to work independently within a structured H&S system
- Competency with Microsoft Office and safety management tools
- Strong communication and reporting skills
