Health & Safety Advisor Skills:
- A recognised Health & Safety qualification (e.g., NEBOSH, Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, or equivalent)
- Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in a similar role within the construction industry—preferably with exposure to M&E or building services projects
- Strong knowledge of Irish Health & Safety legislation and construction regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and guide others
- Comfortable working across multiple sites with a hands-on, proactive approach
- Full clean driving licence
As a Health & Safety Advisor:
- Conduct site inspections and audits across multiple M&E project locations
- Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, codes of practice, and internal procedures
- Support project teams in the preparation of method statements, risk assessments, and safety documentation
- Monitor implementation of site safety plans, toolbox talks, and behavioural safety initiatives
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, providing root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Provide advice and support to project managers and site teams on all safety-related matters
- Liaise with subcontractors to ensure compliance with company safety standards
- Keep safety records up to date and prepare regular reports for management
- Participate in client safety audits and liaise with regulatory bodies where required
