This is an exciting standalone HR role with scope to make a real impact. You’ll be responsible for overseeing all day-to-day HR functions including recruitment, employee relations, HR compliance, policy development, and training coordination.
Based primarily in Galway, the role offers a degree of remote working (1–2 days per week) once established. You'll work closely with company directors, department managers, and site-based staff to build strong relationships and maintain a positive working environment.

HR Manager Skills:
- Degree-qualified in HR, Business, or a related discipline
- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in an HR generalist or management role
- Thorough understanding of Irish employment law and HR best practice
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Confidence managing sensitive or confidential information with professionalism and discretion
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with HRIS systems is an advantage
- Experience working within Irish construction, engineering, or contracting sectors
- Familiarity with site-based HR issues, trades-related recruitment, and onboarding.
As a HR Manager:
- Lead and manage end-to-end HR operations across the business
- Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and best practices in line with employment legislatio
- Manage the recruitment lifecycle—advertising roles, screening candidates, organising interviews, and onboarding.
- Support line managers with employee relations, disciplinary and grievance procedures
- Maintain HR records, contracts, absence tracking, and holiday systems
- Coordinate employee engagement initiatives, training needs, and health & safety compliance where relevant
- Ensure the smooth operation of payroll inputs (in conjunction with accounts/payroll team)
- Provide regular HR reporting and insights to company directors
- Stay up to date with employment law and industry-specific compliance requirements
