Do you have long-term work secured in Galway? Are you being supported and recognised for the work that you do?
You’re a capable and committed Health & Safety Officer with 2+ years' experience on large-scale construction projects, ideally where you've shouldered meaningful responsibility and driven a proactive safety culture.
Now you’re ready for a new challenge: a long-term role on a flagship educational development in Galway. This is one of the largest public sector construction projects in the region, involving a mix of new build and retrofit work. You’ll be embedded within a progressive Tier 1 contractor that’s driving delivery of this prestigious scheme, a company known for its strong safety systems, collaborative culture, and significant pipeline of work throughout the West of Ireland.

You'll join a high-performing safety team with clear support from senior management and strong systems already in place. You'll have scope to take ownership of on-site safety standards and contribute meaningfully to the overall success of the project.

What You’ll Need:
- 2–3+ years’ Health & Safety experience in the construction industry
- A relevant third-level qualification in Health & Safety or related field
- Membership of IOSH is a strong advantage
- Confident using safety systems, technology, and MS Office
- Able to work independently and as part of a structured team
- Experience running site inspections, risk assessments, method statements, and toolbox talks
The Role:
- Report to the Senior HSE Manager and site management team
- Monitor and promote a positive safety culture on-site
- Conduct site inspections, investigations, and audits
- Develop and update safety documentation
- Coordinate safety training for staff
- Support compliance across retrofit and new build elements
