The Company

Established for more than 30 years, this Irish HVAC and refrigeration contractor has built a strong reputation for delivering installation, maintenance, and reactive service works across the commercial, hospitality, retail, and industrial sectors.

With a large client base across Dublin and Leinster, the company continues to secure long-term maintenance contracts covering air conditioning, refrigeration, HVAC plant, and specialist cooling systems. Due to continued growth, they are looking to add experienced HVAC Service Engineers to their Dublin service team.

The Role: HVAC Service Engineer

This HVAC Service Engineer role is based across Dublin and the surrounding region, covering planned preventative maintenance, breakdown response, fault finding, and commissioning works on a wide range of HVAC and refrigeration systems.

You will work across commercial buildings, hospitality sites, retail environments, and industrial facilities, carrying out service and repair work while maintaining strong client relationships on site.

This role will suit an experienced Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineer who is comfortable working independently, managing service schedules, and diagnosing faults across multiple manufacturers and systems.

Must Have Requirements

• Must have F-Gas Certification
• Proven experience required servicing VRV / VRF, split systems, and HVAC plant
• Minimum 5 years post apprenticeship experience require
• Full clean driving licence required
• Experience working as a Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Engineer in Ireland required

Preferred Experience

• Experience on Daikin and Mitsubishi Electric systems preferred
• Chiller and AHU experience beneficial
• BMS systems experience advantageous
• LPG experience beneficial
• Experience working in live commercial environments preferred

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance on HVAC and refrigeration systems
• Respond to reactive breakdowns and fault finding callouts
• Service and maintain VRV / VRF systems, split systems, chillers, AHUs, and refrigeration equipment
• Diagnose system faults and complete repairs efficiently
• Commission air conditioning and refrigeration systems where required
• Complete service documentation and reporting accurately
• Maintain strong communication with clients and internal service coordinators
• Participate in rotating on-call cover
• Ensure all works are completed in line with health and safety requirements

• Strong fault finding and diagnostic ability
• Comfortable working independently across multiple sites
• Good customer-facing communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and organised approach to service work
• Able to prioritise workload and respond effectively under pressure
• Professional and reliable with a strong work ethic
