As a Junior Engineer, you’ll work under the guidance of senior engineering personnel, contributing to the design, coordination, and delivery of mechanical building services. You’ll be involved in a wide range of activities, from producing design packages and technical reports to attending site inspections and design meetings.

Junior Mechanical Engineer Skills:
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related construction discipline
  • Knowledge of mechanical design, particularly Part L and CIBSE comfort criteria
  • Practical experience in building services design across a variety of building types
  • Ability to produce detailed design packages for:
  • HVAC systems
  • Public health installations
  • Fire engineering systems
  • Building management systems
  • Working towards chartership (desirable)
  • Experience across multiple sectors such as healthcare, education, residential, and commercial
  • Familiarity with design software including IES and REVIT/BIM (desirable)

As a Junior Mechanical Engineer:
  • Assist in preparing cost estimates and engineering drawings
  • Produce engineering drawings using AutoCAD
  • Carry out design calculations and technical specifications
  • Support the preparation of tender documents and collate drawings
  • Attend and contribute to design team and site meetings
  • Assist with site inspections and quality assurance procedures
  • Contribute to environmental and quality management systems

The Package:

Salary will be DOE, but you can expect a salary of at least €45,000 plus package to include hybrid working and more.
