A specialist Irish mechanical engineering contractor based in Tipperary, delivering mechanical installation, pipework, fabrication and off-site solutions across major projects in Ireland and Europe.
The business has strong in-house engineering and fabrication capabilities, with a growing pipeline across the data centre and industrial sectors.
The Role: Lead Estimator
As Lead Estimator, you will be based in Co Tipperary, taking senior responsibility for estimating and tendering across major mechanical engineering projects.
You will manage estimates from initial enquiry through to tender submission, working closely with the engineering, commercial and project teams to ensure pricing is accurate, competitive and aligned with the proposed delivery strategy.
This is a Tipperary-based position
Must Have Requirements
You are an experienced Mechanical Estimator, Senior Estimator or Lead Estimator with a practical understanding of how mechanical packages are fabricated and delivered.
You will be commercially aware, comfortable taking ownership of significant tenders and able to work closely with engineering and project teams. Experience across data centre, industrial or complex mechanical projects would be particularly relevant.

Must Have Requirements
- Must have strong estimating experience within mechanical engineering, building services or industrial construction
- Proven experience required preparing and managing mechanical tenders and cost estimates
- Strong understanding of mechanical installations, pipework, fabrication and subcontractor pricing
- Must be commercially strong with the ability to review drawings, specifications and tender documentation
- Data centre or industrial project experience preferred
- Experience pricing fabrication, mechanical installation or process pipework packages beneficial
- Experience with a mechanical engineering contractor advantageous
- Lead the preparation of mechanical estimates and tender submissions
- Review drawings, specifications, scopes and tender documentation
- Prepare material, labour, plant and subcontractor cost build-ups
- Issue enquiries and assess supplier and subcontractor quotations
- Identify tender risks, opportunities and value engineering options
- Work closely with engineering, commercial and project delivery teams
- Support tender handover following successful contract award
- Maintain accurate estimating information and historical cost data
