The Company

This Irish main contractor has a strong reputation for delivering high-quality commercial, healthcare, education and industrial construction projects across Ireland.

With a substantial pipeline of work in Dublin and the surrounding region, they are looking for an experienced M&E Coordinator to join their project delivery team. The company places a strong emphasis on quality construction, safety and long-term career development, with experienced site management and engineering teams supporting its projects.

The Role: M&E Coordinator

As M&E Coordinator, you will manage the coordination of mechanical and electrical services on major construction projects in Dublin, Co Dublin.

Working closely with the Project Manager, Site Manager, design consultants and M&E subcontractors, you will ensure building services installations are properly coordinated, delivered to programme and completed in accordance with project specifications and Irish building regulations.

The role involves technical coordination, design reviews, subcontractor management, quality inspections and supporting commissioning and final handover.

Must Have Requirements

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in M&E coordination or building services on Irish construction projects
• Relevant qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or Construction Management
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical building services, including HVAC, electrical distribution, plumbing and fire protection systems
• Proven experience coordinating M&E subcontractors, reviewing technical drawings and managing installation sequences
• Good understanding of Irish building regulations, BCAR requirements and construction quality standards

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience working with an Irish main contractor
• Commercial, healthcare, education or industrial project experience
• Experience using BIM, AutoCAD, Procore or similar construction software
• Knowledge of commissioning procedures, certification and O&M handover documentation

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate mechanical and electrical subcontractors to ensure installations are completed safely and in line with programme
• Review M&E drawings, specifications and technical submissions to identify design issues and clashes
• Work with design consultants and subcontractors to resolve technical queries and installation constraints
• Develop and monitor M&E installation schedules alongside the site management team
• Ensure building services installations comply with Irish building regulations, BCAR and project specifications
• Carry out regular site inspections to monitor installation quality, workmanship and safety standards
• Review subcontractor method statements, risk assessments and commissioning documentation
• Attend site coordination meetings and provide updates on M&E progress and outstanding issues
• Support the Project Manager and Site Manager with technical coordination and programme delivery
• Coordinate commissioning activities, system testing and certification requirements
• Review O&M manuals, as-built drawings and final handover documentation

About You

You will be an experienced M&E Coordinator or Building Services Coordinator with a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical installations on Irish construction projects.

You should be comfortable managing M&E subcontractors, resolving technical issues and coordinating building services within a busy main contractor site environment.

Strong communication, organisation and attention to detail are essential, along with the ability to maintain installation quality and programme delivery.
