The Role: M&E Coordinator
This is an important M&E Coordinator position working on construction projects across Cork City and County Cork.
You will be responsible for coordinating mechanical and electrical services from design development through installation, commissioning and handover, ensuring all M&E packages are delivered safely, on programme and to the required quality standards.
Working closely with the Project Manager, Site Manager, design consultants and specialist M&E subcontractors, you will ensure building services installations are properly coordinated with structural and architectural works.
The role will suit an M&E Coordinator who understands the practical challenges of delivering building services on live construction sites and can manage technical issues before they affect programme delivery.
Must Have Requirements
You are an experienced M&E Coordinator or Building Services Coordinator with a practical understanding of mechanical and electrical installations on Irish construction projects.
You will be comfortable dealing with M&E subcontractors, resolving technical issues and working alongside site management teams to keep installations progressing.
Strong communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to coordinate several specialist packages are essential.
A background in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or building services would be particularly suitable.

Must Have Requirements
- Must have 3+ years' experience in M&E coordination, building services engineering or mechanical and electrical project delivery.
- Proven experience required coordinating mechanical and electrical packages on Irish construction projects.
- Strong technical understanding of HVAC, electrical installations, plumbing, fire protection and associated building services.
- Experience working with a main contractor or specialist M&E contractor is required.
- Ability to interpret M&E drawings, identify service clashes and coordinate subcontractors on site.
- Experience on healthcare, education, commercial or public sector construction projects.
- Familiarity with BIM coordination, Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD or similar design software.
- Knowledge of commissioning procedures, technical submittals and building services handover documentation.
- Experience managing M&E installations within refurbishment projects or live building environments.
- Coordinate all mechanical and electrical installations across construction projects in Cork.
- Manage M&E subcontractors to ensure works are completed safely, efficiently and in line with the construction programme.
- Review mechanical and electrical drawings, specifications and technical submissions.
- Identify and resolve service clashes between mechanical, electrical, structural and architectural elements.
- Attend design coordination meetings and liaise with consultants, engineers and specialist subcontractors.
- Monitor M&E installation progress and report programme risks to the Project Manager.
- Ensure all mechanical and electrical works comply with project specifications, relevant building regulations and quality requirements.
- Coordinate builder's works requirements, service penetrations, plant installations and associated M&E infrastructure.
- Oversee inspections, testing, commissioning, snagging and final handover of building services packages.
- Maintain accurate M&E progress reports, technical records and commissioning documentation.
