The Role: M&E Quantity Surveyor
Based across projects in the West and South West of Ireland, you will be responsible for the commercial management of mechanical and electrical packages from procurement through to final account.
Working closely with Project Managers, Engineers, subcontractors and the commercial team, you will ensure that all M&E packages are commercially controlled, accurately reported and delivered within budget while maintaining contractual compliance.
Must Have Requirements
You are an experienced M&E Quantity Surveyor with a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical installations within major construction or infrastructure projects. You have excellent commercial awareness, enjoy working collaboratively with delivery teams and are confident managing subcontractor accounts from procurement through to final account.
You are organised, commercially focused and capable of managing multiple work packages while maintaining strong attention to detail and programme delivery.

Must Have Requirements
- Must have 5 years' experience as an M&E Quantity Surveyor or Mechanical & Electrical Quantity Surveyor
- Proven experience required on mechanical and electrical packages within construction or civil engineering projects
- Experience working with a main contractor or specialist M&E contractor is required
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline
- Strong knowledge of standard forms of contract and commercial management
- Experience on water, wastewater, utilities or industrial projects preferred
- NEC contract experience would be beneficial
- Strong knowledge of procurement and subcontract management
- Proficient in Excel and commercial reporting systems
- Chartered or working towards chartership
- Experience with cost management software
- Strong claims and variations experience
- Manage the commercial delivery of mechanical and electrical work packages
- Prepare and agree interim valuations, variations and final accounts
- Procure and manage M&E subcontractors throughout the project lifecycle
- Produce accurate monthly cost reports, forecasts and cash flow projections
- Review contract documents and ensure contractual compliance
- Identify commercial risks and implement mitigation strategies
- Work closely with site teams to monitor project progress and commercial performance
- Attend commercial meetings with clients, consultants and subcontractors
- Support the Commercial Manager in achieving project financial targets
