Job title: Mechanical Construction Manager – Data Centre Construction

The Company
This international contractor specialises in the delivery of large scale data centre and mission critical projects across Europe, managing projects from construction through commissioning and final handover.
With a strong pipeline of European work, they are looking for an experienced Mechanical Construction Manager to join the project team on a major multi-building data centre campus in Milan.
The Role: Mechanical Construction Manager
As Mechanical Construction Manager, you will take responsibility for the delivery of mechanical construction works on site, including HVAC, piping and associated building services.
You will manage mechanical subcontractors, coordinate closely with the Project Manager, planners, design and commercial teams, and ensure works are delivered safely, to programme and to the required quality standards.

About You
You will be an experienced Mechanical Construction Manager with a strong background delivering major mechanical packages on large construction projects.
You should be confident managing subcontractors, coordinating mechanical services with the wider construction programme and resolving technical issues on site. Strong knowledge of HVAC, piping, installation sequencing, QA/QC and commissioning preparation is required.

Must Have Requirements
- Must have 8+ years’ experience within mechanical construction or building services
- Proven experience required managing mechanical packages on large scale construction projects
- Strong hands on experience required with HVAC, piping and associated mechanical systems
- Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or similar qualification required
Preferred Experience
- Data centre or mission critical project experience preferred
- Industrial or large scale M&E construction experience beneficial
- Experience managing mechanical works through installation, snagging and handover
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day to day mechanical construction activities on site
- Coordinate mechanical subcontractors, manpower and programme delivery
- Review drawings, specifications, technical submittals and construction information
- Maintain mechanical QA/QC standards across installation works
- Coordinate with planning, design, engineering and commercial teams
- Attend site, planning, engineering and handover meetings
- Track progress and report programme issues to senior management
- Support variation tracking and commercial reporting
- Manage mechanical snagging and close out activities
- Identify and resolve technical and coordination issues before they affect programme
- Maintain strong health and safety standards across all mechanical works
About You
