The Role Mechanical Construction Manager
As Mechanical Construction Manager, you will take full responsibility for the delivery of mechanical building services on a major data centre project. This is a site based leadership role where you will oversee mechanical works from coordination through installation and commissioning.
You will play a key role in ensuring that all HVAC and mechanical systems are delivered safely, on programme and to the highest quality standards, while managing subcontractors, resources and stakeholder relationships.

The Role Mechanical Construction Manager
As Mechanical Construction Manager, you will take full responsibility for the delivery of mechanical building services on a major data centre project. This is a site based leadership role where you will oversee mechanical works from coordination through installation and commissioning.
You will play a key role in ensuring that all HVAC and mechanical systems are delivered safely, on programme and to the highest quality standards, while managing subcontractors, resources and stakeholder relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all mechanical construction activities on site, ensuring full compliance with health and safety standards
- Coordinate mechanical installations including HVAC, pipework and plant systems in line with programme milestones
- Prepare and implement method statements and risk assessments for all mechanical works
- Manage subcontractors and specialist suppliers to ensure quality and productivity targets are achieved
- Monitor programme delivery through short term planning including two week look ahead schedules
- Oversee procurement of mechanical equipment and subcontract packages in line with project requirements
- Support commercial activities including variations, valuations and final account contributions
- Maintain strong communication with the client, consultants and wider project team
- Ensure all works are delivered in line with project specifications and quality standards
- Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline or strong trade background with progression into management
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Construction Manager or Mechanical Project Manager on large scale construction projects
- Strong background in HVAC systems, pipework and mechanical installations
- Experience working on data centre or other mission critical projects is highly desirable
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage teams and subcontractors on site
- Strong commercial awareness with experience managing costs and variations
- Ability to work in a fast paced, high performance construction environment
- Strong communication and organisational skills with a focus on delivering to programme
Salary: €85,000 – €100,000 (DOE)
