As a Mechanical Engineer in the Dublin office, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary engineering and consultancy team supporting projects across renewable energy, infrastructure, water & wastewater, and related sectors.

You will contribute to mechanical design, analysis, technical studies, specification, project execution, and support client deliverables from feasibility to construction phases.
You will collaborate closely with civil, structural, electrical, environmental, and planning colleagues, and interface with external consultants, contractors, and regulatory bodies.

Mechanical Engineer Skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • At least 3–5 years’ post-qualification experience in mechanical engineering roles (consultancy, design office, industry)
  • Proven experience designing mechanical systems in infrastructure, energy, or industrial projects
  • Solid understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals: thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, heat transfer, stress analysis
  • Proficiency in engineering software / tools (e.g. AutoCAD / Revit / SolidWorks / PDMS / CFD tools / FEA software)
  • Experience with mechanical specification writing, vendor review, and procurement
  • Experience working in a multidisciplinary environment, coordinating with other disciplines
  • Familiarity with relevant Irish / European codes, standards, and regulations
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently, manage workload, and meet deadlines
  • Willingness to travel domestically (site visits)

As a Mechanical Engineer:
  • Design mechanical systems (HVAC, piping, pumping, fluid handling, pressure systems, thermal systems, etc.) for infrastructure, industrial, and energy projects
  • Perform mechanical calculations, sizing, modeling and simulation (e.g. CFD, heat transfer, stress analysis)
  • Prepare mechanical specifications, datasheets, and procurement documentation
  • Review and assess mechanical proposals, vendor equipment, and technical submittals
  • Engage in feasibility studies, mechanical impact assessments, and concept development
  • Provide technical support and guidance during construction, installation, testing, and commissioning
  • Conduct inspections, site visits, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems
  • Liaise with other disciplines (civil, structural, electrical, process) to ensure integrated designs
  • Ensure compliance with codes, standards, regulation (e.g. Irish/European standards, safety / pressure vessel regulations)
  • Prepare reports, design narratives, and client-facing documentation
  • Mentor junior engineers and review their work
  • Participate in proposals, bids, and technical sales support as needed

The Package:

Salary will be DOE, but you can expect a salary of at least €60,000 plus package.
