Job title: Mechanical Engineer – Building Services / M&E Projects
Location: Co Tipperary
Company: Irish Mechanical Engineering Contractor
Salary: Up to €65,000
The Company
This Irish mechanical engineering contractor delivers mechanical building services projects across the commercial, industrial, healthcare, pharmaceutical and public sectors throughout Ireland.
Based in Co Tipperary, the company has built its reputation around practical engineering, quality installations and strong project delivery. With a healthy pipeline of work, they are looking to add a Mechanical Engineer to their Tipperary team to support projects from technical coordination through installation, commissioning and handover.
The Role: Mechanical Engineer
As Mechanical Engineer, you will be based out of Co Tipperary and work across mechanical building services projects, supporting the Project Manager and wider engineering team with the technical delivery of mechanical packages.
You will be involved in HVAC, heating, ventilation, pipework and associated mechanical services, coordinating drawings, materials, subcontractors and site activities to keep projects moving safely and in line with programme.
The role will suit a Mechanical Engineer who enjoys being close to project delivery rather than working solely in a design environment.
Must Have Requirements
You will come from a mechanical or building services engineering background with a practical understanding of how mechanical services are installed and coordinated on construction projects.
You should be comfortable reviewing drawings, dealing with suppliers and subcontractors and spending time on site when required.
Strong organisation and communication skills are important, as you will be working across engineering, procurement and site delivery while ensuring mechanical works remain aligned with programme and quality requirements.
What’s on Offer
Salary: Up to €65,000 DOE
Benefits:
This is a good opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer who wants broad exposure to the delivery side of mechanical contracting rather than being restricted to one part of the project lifecycle.
You will gain experience across technical coordination, procurement, site installation, commissioning and handover, with the opportunity to take on increasing responsibility as you progress.
The Tipperary base will particularly suit someone looking to develop their career with an Irish mechanical contractor while remaining based in the Munster or Midlands region.
