Location: Co Cork (Munster Region)
Company: Specialist Civil Engineering and Water Infrastructure Contractor
Salary: Up to €75,000 DOE
The Company
A specialist engineering contractor delivering water and wastewater infrastructure projects across Ireland, with a strong presence throughout Cork, Limerick, Tipperary and the wider Munster region.
The company delivers water treatment plants, wastewater treatment facilities, pumping stations and associated mechanical and civil engineering works.
With a strong pipeline of infrastructure projects across Munster, they are looking to appoint an experienced Mechanical Engineer to support mechanical design, technical coordination and project management across their regional operations.
The Role: Mechanical Engineer
This Mechanical Engineer position will involve a combination of mechanical design coordination, technical engineering and project management responsibilities on water and wastewater infrastructure projects throughout Munster.
Working closely with Project Managers, design consultants, subcontractors and site teams, you will be responsible for coordinating mechanical engineering activities from design development and procurement through to installation, commissioning and handover.

Must Have Requirements
You are a Mechanical Engineer with a strong technical background and experience coordinating engineering works from design through to construction.
You will be comfortable reviewing mechanical designs, dealing with equipment suppliers and working alongside site teams to resolve technical issues.
Strong communication, organisation and project coordination skills are important, along with the ability to manage engineering priorities across multiple work packages.
Experience in the Irish water infrastructure sector would be particularly beneficial.
What's on Offer
Salary: Up to €75,000 DOE
Benefits:
This Mechanical Engineer role offers the opportunity to develop your career in both mechanical design and project management while working on water and wastewater infrastructure projects across Munster.
Rather than being restricted to a purely office-based design position or site-based engineering role, you will have involvement throughout the project lifecycle, gaining experience in technical coordination, procurement, construction and commissioning.
With continued investment in Ireland's water infrastructure and a strong pipeline of projects throughout the region, this position offers long-term prospects and the opportunity to take on greater project management responsibility.
