With a strong pipeline of mechanical projects, they are looking to appoint a Mechanical Engineer to support their engineering and project delivery teams from their Galway base.
The Role: Mechanical Engineer
This Mechanical Engineer position is based in Co Galway, and will involve supporting the design coordination, procurement and delivery of mechanical building services projects.
Working closely with Contracts Managers, Project Managers, design consultants and site teams, you will be involved in mechanical engineering activities from design reviews and technical submissions through to installation, commissioning and handover.
The role will suit a Mechanical Engineer with experience in HVAC and mechanical building services who enjoys combining technical engineering responsibilities with practical project coordination.
You will play an important part in ensuring mechanical installations meet design specifications, quality standards and programme requirements.
Must Have Requirements
You are a Mechanical Engineer with a strong technical understanding of HVAC and mechanical building services installations.
You will be comfortable reviewing mechanical drawings, coordinating with design consultants and working alongside site teams to resolve technical issues.
You understand the importance of accurate technical submissions, procurement schedules and ensuring mechanical installations are delivered correctly and on programme.
Strong communication and organisational skills are essential, along with a practical approach to engineering and project coordination.

- Experience coordinating mechanical designs, technical submissions and site installation activities.
- Experience working with a mechanical contractor or M&E subcontractor in Ireland.
- Knowledge of mechanical plant, pumps, air handling units, chillers and associated building services equipment.
- Experience using AutoCAD, Revit or similar engineering design software.
- Familiarity with procurement, equipment selection and subcontractor coordination.
- Previous involvement in healthcare, education, commercial or industrial building services projects.
- Coordinate mechanical engineering activities across HVAC and building services projects.
- Review mechanical drawings, specifications and technical submissions.
- Support mechanical design coordination and resolve technical queries.
- Assist with procurement, equipment selection and material approvals.
- Liaise with design consultants, suppliers, subcontractors and site management teams.
- Monitor mechanical installation progress against project programmes.
- Ensure mechanical works comply with specifications, quality standards and safety requirements.
- Coordinate technical documentation, RFIs and design changes.
- Support testing, commissioning and final project handover.
- Work closely with Project Managers to maintain programme delivery and installation quality.
